Centrally located in Everett you will find a one of a kind burger joint called Nick's Jr. And if you fancy a deal with the devil, you should stop immediately. Inside you'll find a pretty cool dining area, limited seating outside which is not very welcoming due to the constant traffic, and restrooms "around the back". The menu's larger than the 7 layers of Hell and spans the whole upper front of the ordering window.
I couldn't get a good photo of the menu due to the hellish glare of the sun on the monitors. You'll want to check out the menu online, or in person, to see the wide array of burgers this place offers. They have a very unique menu, with monthly items like "Pizza" burgers, and a range of Gyros, sides and many craft sodas. I've been here many times and personally like the GCBC (Grilled Cheese Bacon Cheeseburger), which is a bacon cheeseburger housed between two grilled cheese sandwiches.
Although I've been here a bunch, I went through the motions of asking what the most popular burger was. I was quickly told the Nick's Deluxe, and noted its prominent position at the top of the menu. This is not one of the burgers I have had from here, so I ordered it and waited patiently.
Ok, where do I even start? This burger lives up to its name Deluxe in every sense of the word. Housed in a slightly toasted sesame seed bun you will find two flat top fried beef patties, a swath of grilled mushrooms and onions, cheddar AND Swiss cheese, hickory smoked bacon, avocado slices, lettuce, tomato, pickles and a rich garlic mayo. All sauces are made in house and this garlic mayo was spot on, a refreshing change of pace to the typical burger sauce.
This burger puts you through the motions. I suggest doing some jaw stretches before coming here. As mastication intensifies, I feel the desire to repent my sins, only to find I've completely beaten back my inner demons. But wow, what a spiritual journey. I mean, look at this burger carcass! Side note, grab a lot of napkins and maybe a bib.
Every city needs a Nick's Jr. This is single store that I can't help but think would be an excellent chain. Coming in at 14 total points, with high scores in both sauce and toppings, Nick's Jr. takes home a well deserved Gold Trophy. With a burger menu as expansive as theirs, I have no doubt that there is a Platinum burger lurking somewhere on the board. Abandon all hope, ye who enter here. This may become your favorite local spot.
